Yah, a little bit pretentious - messages remind me a bit of Tupac, but that's actually a good thing. Hes not bad at all though though.
Saw them live with Metallica a couple weeks ago, absolutely phenomenal.SEREVENT wrote:
Lamb Of God - Killadelphia
Their live album, proves how they're one of the best metal bands in the world, and how metal is more than just some guy screaming at people.
10/10

Mos Def's The Ecstatic
This shitty youtube rip doesn't do it justice. But still freakin' amazing song nonetheless.
Street Sweeper Social Club, 7.5/10
Stick it to da man. Morello knows kickass riffs.

I need around tree fiddy.
someone karma'd me with greek letters apparently. What does it read?
Yeah that was me, I still had windows' language bar set to japanese so it used this font which the karma page doesn't like
the production on this album is fucking incredible, for a hip-hop album it's so different yet has such a great atmosphere/vibe:
Dälek - Gutter Tactics
one of the more different releases i have heard
dark themes, good shit.
p.s. youtube doesnt do it justice- the album is purposefully lo-fi/shoegaze/fuzzy and the crappy youtube quality just muddies the entire effect into one layer of sludge

Since I used up my slot in the month of albums, I'm gonna recommend some more. I'm glad we're doing this, btw. Listening to an album as a whole, it's a great experience that not many people these days do.
Autechre - Incunabula (1993)
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing (1996)
Kraftwerk - Computer World (1982)
The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute (2005)
The Orb - The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld (1990)
Orbital - Snivilisation (1993)
Pole Folder - Zero Gold (2005)
Royksopp - Junior (2009)
Talking Heads - True Stories (1985)
Trentemoller - The Last Resort (2006)
Underworld - Oblivion With Bells (2007)
UNKLE - Never, Never, Land (2003)
If any of you are remotely interested in electronic music, I think you should check those out (TMV prog rock, and TH new wave being exceptions). I think it captures a wide variety of styles/sub-genres (though certainly not all of them), some are current and some are relatively old, and they are albums that I listen to all the way through many many many times and never get sick of them.
They're all last.fm links, you should at least be able to listen to samples of most of the songs, but some have the full thing available for listening. I still wouldn't recommend that, though; listening to it on the webpage. Buy the albums, or download them, and queue up all the songs and just sit back and listen.
And I know it seems like a big list, and I was going to put a * by some with the note "Please for the love of god listen to these!!!", but then I realized that I would've done that for all of these. This is already such a narrow list already. Just listen to them. It may seem like a lot, but the time used in listening to them will make you a better person.
