You can put a scope that big on an MP5 and it's still an SMG.

Also the SARA is using an AK-47's 7.62x39mm round. Low velocity. Low range. Not at all suitable for sniping.

Even though the SARA would be more comfortable to use because you don't have to stuff your cheek into the gun to look through the scope, it's definitely an assault rifle. Look at the magazine. No way could that house a suitable sniper round.
