Fuck off ricer haters.

I did this last night with my pops in about an hour. Let me tell you, this thing frickin roars down the highway.
It was really easy to install, hardest part was removing the stock air intake.

After

Ergh. Sorry mate, but I don't get the point of that. Why would you want to add 5hp to that car?

It won't add that much. Hell if you put the intake there it will just pull hot air from near the engine, the air box was probably better.

amirite?

Who really cares? It sounds fuckin cool, and looks way better than huge chunks of plastic that take up a third of your engine bay.

I don't think you're right at all. Why should it being to the side of the engine be hotter than at the front. Really though, he now wants a split hood though so it gets plenty of air going over it.

Oh, and the stock air inlet duct was almost in the same location as the new filter is right now, so I don't think there is much difference between the air temperatures now and before.

Better gas mileage.
Longer lasting and more dependable air intake system.
Oh and it gets more than just 5 hp and Torque. (also depends of the make of the car.)

$270.

I could have got it for $220, but then I would have had to wait 5 weeks.

Ryan don't listen to the haters, I think it looks cool and you like it, that's all that matters.

It's the guy's first car, let him put hello-kitty stickers all over it if he wants.

i have one on my truck (2002 s-10 4.3L v6 ) gave me 20 more hp. plus the better gas mileage.  it also runs a hell of a lot stronger even more when its cool out (under75-80F) ive seen these on big block motors(350-400 cdi) and they pack dry ice around them the cold air makes em run faster. make sure you follow the cleaning instructions and that filter will last you a long time mines 7 yrs old and the filter looks like new.

when you clean it and go to reoil it dont be shy with the oil, i spray mine let it sit for 20 mins and spray it again to make sure.  i clean mine every 90 days cause of the dirt and sand i have to drive through. if you keep it on paved roads you might get 6 months out of a cleaning.

Now cut a big hole in your bonnet for that extra 1 horse

But yeah, nothing really wrong with having smoother/better induction. It's just like getting a stronger fan for your overclocked GPU (there, a good analogy for you fags)

Waste of money man. Should have put it towards something more meaningful, like a crystal ashtray for a motorcycle.

At least you're doing things to improve efficiency and power of your engine, instead of just adding useless crap like... all that useless crap.

Next step is a good exhaust manifold (headers) if you're bothered for that. Yeah fuck that...

Headers are better because it's individual pipes for each cylinder, and so they're shaped in a way that the exhaust gasses reaches the collector at the same time, reducing back pressure and thus increasing power/efficiency. Basically creating a better vacuum within the cylinder so there's less friction, or something like that. Race/Sports cars don't even have a collector (or have multiple, or something) which is why you see race cars with lots of pipes at the back, or more than normal cars.

Yea, I'm going to get a universal muffler by Megan Racing, and possibly some nice shiny headers.

also: *curses @ american&canadian car prices*
