Questions :

1. Will the motherboard support 3 gfx cards ? I want to run the monitors off the single GTX 275 for gaming etc and then start folding on that card too when afk.

2. Is the PSU large enough, if not what should I get, it has to be a modular Corsair.

3. Can you see any other problems.

4. Please estimate my folding speed with the above setup, all gfx cards at stock speed or mildly overclocked, and cpu at 4.0ghz.

That PSU can do GTX 275 SLi, for 3-way sli you need better.

Why not the new Intel 34nm SSD that is just about to be released?


e. yes that mobo does support 3-way sli, but I think the Antec 900 doesn't (with 3x dual slot gfx cards).

Oh yes, I already have an Antec 900 aswell, all fans replaces for non led silent operation, except the big 200mm. The replaced fans are Yate Loons.

Also, if i used a single GTX275 could i configure it so when it plays a game, it uses one core etc and the other can fold at the same time ?

If all three of your video cards and the i7 are folding, you should be over 20k PPD.  max could give you the best estimate because he folds like it's his job, but he's on vacation for a while.  Looks nice, and the folding team could really use you now that we are in the top 150 worldwide!

You don't want that Arctic Silver. It's an adhesive not just a thermal compound.

Yup I am on there, keep getting banned lol. And they like to take the piss out of me for asking about cars which they assume I cannot afford not knowing my bank balances :S
