In BF2, Market wasn't available in the 64p version (it was only in the 16 and 32p maps) and it also had two further flags: Warehouse and Factory. I'm interested to see what they've done to the river crossing area to compensate for the loss of flags - if they left the area as-is from BF2 it's going degenerate into one big explosive and sniper clusterfuck with no option to back-cap.

i'm sure ill get tired of it but a snipe/rpg fest at the train/gatehouse bottleneck seems kinda fun. at least once or twice. my kdr would drop about 20 points but shit, i wouldn't care.

zh1nt0 has a stickied message in the Battlelog forums on this. For every kill or be killed encounter, your skill goes up or down a certain number of points based on your relative skill ratings.
It's not the same amount of points, eg, in one encounter where you kill your opponent, your score could go up 50 points and the person you killed's skill could go down 20 points.

Skill is only used by them for matchmaking.

What is with this 100 colonel ranks bullshit? Is it too hard to implement a ranking system that takes a long time to reach max at without making it as stupid as 20 prestige mode's?

It's technically more realistic as Colonel is the highest rank that can go on active combat if I recall. I still hope they put General in anyway.

I wouldn't pay much attention to skill, it's silly really, it flucuates so crazily it seems pointless to me. I had 560 last night and now 250 after 2 rounds today.

it seems so, repeating prestige 15 times in BO's got boring, but the rank changed symbol and so on and had something to aim for, im Colonel 4, and have this rank another 96 times. then nothing, great. I will definitely not be reaching 100.
