Can anyone explain this?

I've googled, wikipedia'd, but everything gives me different answers, and it all comes down on the same thing, I think. (I'm sure that's incorrect)

These are my main thoughts:

-Both are one-party political systems
-Both suppress any criticism
-Both control the economy and the different companies
..

This is what came up in me in a few thoughts, could anyone care to explain?

Fascism thinks that every class has its place and communism believes in a classless society.  Also Fascists are nationalists and communists are internationalists.
Hope that's enough

I see. A question, if you had to live in one of those societies, which one would it be, and why?

I'd probably go for the Communism, but yeah, life would be nearly equally shitty.

Granted, life in Cuba is better than life in Nazi Germany was.

Communism has never been implemented. Karl max vision hasen't seen the day of light. What we have seen until today is dictatorship under the umbrella of communism.

Cuba seems fine, apart from the trading ban.

Well ya, you can call it maoism , stalinism and so on. But if you pick a book and read what karl max vision was you will see that it diden't look like what communism has looked until now.

A perfect communistic society haven't been seen yet.
Only dictatorship with thoughts of communism.

You imply that most of karl max ideas where implemented in soviet union or china. Then you are very wrong. Karl max vision wasn't a totalitarian one. You may be shocked if you read his book on how far of the current communism (dictatorship ) was.

So why do people speak of Communism if the ideas were never fully implanted? And from what I read, it was far from the communism Marx had in mind...

You got my reply wrong.
I didn't say that the Soviet Union or China (or the Peoples Rebublic of Korea) are communist.
I said that Stalin, Mao and all the others are using it as an excuse for their dictatorship.

And I have read Das Kapital (both in German and English).

Communism as an idea is the best system there is. It would not work, however, since it requires people to care about everyone else just as much as themselves. Ideal communism will never work for any bigger groups of people.

Black and white is something easy to explain to people and convince them that it's the enemy. But when you look at with knowledge you know that it's far more complicated. And usually as a politician you want to keep things black and white.

The common factors are the totalitarian parts of the systems.

You could probably have a decent crack at totalitarian capitalism if you wanted.

In theory, perfect communism would be perfect to live in. But, everything that's been communist so far has been absolutely far from perfect. I'd rather live under fascism tbh. I would hate to be paid the same and get exactly the same as a janitor if you design something fantastic or paint an amazing painting etc.

Communism is fundamentally flawed because ti goes against human nature. People like to think they are better than others and they like to make their own lives better not necessarily work for the common good.
True communism is quite good, all the states that claim/have claimed to be communist are really just poorly organised, totalitarian socialism.

In a real world situation Fascism is far more realistic and obtainable.
