Henno's thread has inspired me to make this.
Mine was Day of Defeat, back when it was a 3rd party mod for half life. Man I miss 2.0, used to go to the middle flag on Anzio and kill a bunch of Axis with 1 clip of my M1 Carbine even though it was a shitty gun at the time.

Well I played Decent at a Lan at my dads work with all his work colleagues, but proper online was probably Diablo 2 Starcraft.

Ahh the days of going to dads work were awesome, Spent the time playing decent missions while he was in meetings, then come lunch time 20-30 people would start a massive lan game.

The first Command and Conquer, although that was over a LAN. It was hilarious. Me and my friend were in 4th grade and having a decent game-playing computer in a household was one thing, but having two of them was something special. So we'd each spend an hour building up our armies, and then just have at it.

First game I ever played on the actual internet was the original Rainbow Six. Good times.

I played Age of Empires, (first one,) on the internet arcade thing. For realsies though my first one was Battlefield 1942 - the Wake island multiplayer demo. Playing that for four hours after school one fateful day back in 2002 turned me into the gamer you see before you today.

Actually come to think of it I experimented in the early stages of dial-up multiplayer gaming. I went around to my friends house where we tried to start a multiplayer Duke Nukem 3D game with somene else. Also managed to play "Wacky Wheels" over the net.
