The devs spent two weeks procrastinating over whether to change the prone delay thingy and crap like that. People want BF2 to stay fluid, it would just be nice if when you shot something it hit.

haha those internet tough guy things are funny. but as for this poll I posted, I could care less what a few people think about this situation. I realized there are servers that don't intend on shutting down anytime soon so I will play this game for a long time to come

Considering how long BF2 has been around I think that at this point its longevity has been established by its basic characteristics. Unless the patch changes the fundamental nature of the game I don't think it will affect how long BF2 will stay alive. It doesn't look like they're doing anything game-breaking to it, anyway. The modifications aren't insignificant but not earth-shattering, no matter how much people dramatize it.

Nothing can save a game. Eventually people stop playing. I figure BF2 servers will continue to exist for another 5-10 years.
Also no other game of similar style has come out that is nearly as good as BF2. I think BF2 competitions would still exist if the hitlag wasn't so laughable.
