I find hardcore nicely balanced mainly because of sights instead of crosshairs ... tends to eliminate the spray n prayers and nade spammers. The only weapon that should be accurate hip firing is a submachinegun like the Thompson. Servers I play on are usually populated with high rank players so it really forces me to bring my A game as a new player. If I don't use cover, have my sights up entering the open, and pick up targets quickly I'm dead.
