Spoilers from Bioshock 1 below.

For those that didn't get GameInformer last month or read anything on it, it basically takes place 10 years after the first one. You play as a Big Daddy. But not just any Big Daddy, but the first ever. Which also means that you're not the standard Big Daddy and can use plasmids and normal guns as well as everything the regular Big Daddy has (like the shoulder charge attack, the drill and the rivet gun). The extremely fast moving and agile character you see in the video is the Big Sister. After Jack saved the Little Sisters in Bioshock 1 (the bad ending with the splicers taking the sub was not canon apparently), Rapture was left empty. The Big Sister - who is a former Little Sister herself - has been going to seaside towns and kidnapping girls to act as Little Sisters.

I loved it when he started moving underwater. Quite surreal. But then I was very disappointed when he used his drill on the Splicer and.. the Splicer was just knocked fowards.

It's a huge drill dammit . I want to see some drilling! I wonder how playing as a Big Daddy will work out.

Yeah, looks like the graphics are updated and more gameplay elements are added really...just as a true sequel should have. I'm glad they didn't change the atmosphere, that's for sure - I was (and still am) completely taken by Bioshock's atmosphere.

I think the only reason why when he hit the Splicer with the shoulder-dash is because the shoulder-dash never really did that. It was the single, close combat melee hits with the drill that caused all the gore. Remember this? http://www.gametrailers.com/player/13583.html

I gave up halfway through Bioshock 1. Horror games aren't really my thing, and rescuing the little sisters seemed to become a chore after a while. Sure, there were fun moments, but being alone with a pistol and no other ammo while hallucinating and being attacked by both sides tends to piss me off.

There will be. And you can also combine plasmids now. If you combine the cyclone plasmid (from the DLC) with the incinerate plasmid, you'll create a fire tornado that enemies will be trapped in.

The story from the first was pretty good, and the artwork throughout the game was excellent. Gameplay was decent.
