I was thinking Scion tC, Hyundai Tiburon, acura rsx, subaru impreza etc. etc. etc.

Scion are a subsidiary of Toyota. I heard rumors that they will rebadge the Subaru Tribeca as a Scion. As for Acura, some models are rebadge Honda. For example, the Acura RSX is the Honda Integra in Japan.

But clearly the Scion TC, Xb, and the other one are all original Scion cars. Not rebadge from another company.

I guess for me rebadge are the same car that gets a new body but essentially the same engine and mechanical parts. Like Eagle Talon/Mitsubishi Eclipse/Plymouth Lazer or Dodge Stealth/Mitsubishi 3000GT or Subaru WRX '05/Saab 9-2x AERO.

Yeah the talon/eclipse and stealth/3000GT are rebadges but acrua for example is just marketing as honda/acura is the same company just as Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infiniti. while in japan they may just be honda, nissan and toyota most other markets give the luxury cars a different brand name.

Acura = North American Market
