My player has better battery than your player, can play pretty much any format there is, has a better screen, a working equalizer, better sound, and it'll grow along with SD cards. It can already be 80GB if I want it to.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

It's rated at 10h video and 52h music. I left it playing on my stereo for two days straight (yes, even at night, with the stereo off), and it lasted just about 50h. Video I haven't been arsed to test, as I don't wanna stare at the 2.5" screen more than I have to.

My player costs 1/3 of the Touch. It's mainly an audio player, the video and picture features are merely extras.

I've never used podcasts, in fact I'm not even quite sure what the hell podcasts are other than some sort of internet radio show perhaps?

Also, usually the only two places I connect to wifi is at home or at school.
