The graphics looks awesome, the star shaped forts look awesome, the campaign map is even bigger, more soldiers, more resources and game play strategy and the naval battles look incredibly GOOD!!!!!

It always excites me to see lines of soldiers firing their muskets and the sound of that raw and primitive gunpowder and bullet really make this 21th century war look like a game.

It all looks pretty, we'll see how the game play is once I get buy though. The thing is that these games always had great multi player.

This game needs to come out already, I loved Shogun: Total War back in the days... first and only game ever to really keep me captivated with turn-based strategy. Gradually watching your armies control an entire continent/country was satisfying- if not hugely time-consuming :p.

Empire seems to be the zenith of the series to be honest, fully wrapping up all the campaign and combat stuff with awesome new features and even better diplomacy and empire-builing abilities- all rendered in beautiful graphics with an epic scale of gameplay. I very rarely look forward to any RTS/TBS game that doesn't have the 'Company of Heroes' name stuck on it, but this is a huge exception. Truly awesome!

I really hope this Total War doesn't include that piece of shit gamespy browser. That was the worst part of the multiplayer, which was great in all other aspects, especially Rome: Total war imo.

But finding and joining a game effectively was always a pain in the ass because of gamespy.

I just found medieval to have less variety then rome. It felt although every faction had the exact same units, just different names

Then again, outside of the roman factions, there wasnt all to much variety in rome either. each to his own i spose

I always palyed as a Roman faction since, others weren't quite cool as the Romans, I mean no one can beat a formation of Legionari.

Looks great. I really hope they put a multiplayer campaign mode in - but I bet they won't. It's one thing these games are always lacking (except Civ).
