What game have you played that you think had the best story or plot?

For me it has to be the original MGS on the PS1 and although I haven't played it, it's remake on the Gamecube which had the same story.

Great characters, deep and intriguing plot and one that I still find really good even after my tenth run through it

so what's yours?

Fallout (not just 3) has a great backstory.

And Half-life, Freelancer. I thought TFU had a pretty good plot as well.

GTA:IV had an engaging story IMO, i really liked playing that one.

Far Cry 2 had potential, but got repetitive/redundant.

Since I use to be into racers, games like Need for Speed and Midnight Club had fairly decent stories, regardless of how cheesy they seemed. Always found them enjoyable to watch.

Anyway, my top 3, in no particular order are any of the Metal Gear Solid games, Deus Ex, and Valkyria Chronicles.
