I knew Ahedinejad's name, I just find the dinnerjacket joke funny. He's not a scientist, he just has a doctorate in civil engineering.

He's not unique in this respect either.

Malcolm Turnbull, the leader of the opposition in the Australian Parliament atm is a merchant banker and was previously a barrister in the Australian legal system.

Barack Obama was a constitutional lawyer and before he studied law he was some sort of grass roots community organiser or something.

George W. Bush has a batchelor's degree in history and earned a Master of Business Administration at Harvard.

Kevin Rudd, the current Prime Minister of Australia graduated with First Class Honours in Arts, majoring in Chinese Language and Chinese History.

Canada's current Prime Minister Stephen Harper has a Master's in Economics.

The UK's Gordon Brown has a PhD in history.


I can keep listing these for many politicians from around the world...

i never stated he was unique, thus stated he is more intelligent than the presidents America has had......

im studying to be a mechanical engineer and will start my foundation degree next year. Trust me its hard, all sorts of maths and science/physics involved.

You must not know much about American history or about Ahmadinejad himself.

If Ahmadinejad is so smart, then how come most of his people don't like him very much?  If he's so smart, then how come he hasn't bothered to work towards creating a suitable refinement infrastructure for his nation's oil supply so that they don't have to import all of their refined oil and instead refine the crude oil they extract from their own land?  If he's so smart, then how come he's done everything possible to attract negative attention from the rest of the world as they try to obtain nuclear weapons while saying stupid things with regard to Israel?

Put simply, Ahmadinejad is very much like an Iranian version of Bush.  He's considerably more socially conservative than the mainstream of his culture, presides over a legislature that mostly is opposed to him, and is hated by a lot of the world.

Even as bad as some of our presidents have been, most of them have been better than Ahmadinejad by a longshot.

^^Bush was in office only a few months when September 11 happened. That scheme was inspired and developed under Clinton.

Bush is nowhere even close to being the worst President in US history. Abraham Lincoln had horrible approval ratings during his time. However, since we can now apply historical context he consistently ranks among the top US presidents of all time (Among Scholars). We've had Presidents that were complete drunks the whole time they were in office. People that answer those popular opinion polls are historically ignorant and are influenced by modern day politics.

That and he brought the 'Miami Vice' tieless suit look to Persia.

He's running the risk of being executed for looking gay.
