So I think my ex is starting to see someone. I was ok before, but now I feel a little fucked up inside.
Problem is we're still good friends and it would be rather immature of me to use that against her somehow. It's not completely confirmed, just a couple things on fb today.

jaekus i think i was subsconsciously/non-admittedly dealing with the same feelings.
living with my ex-girlfriend for an entire year... there was no full closure. it always felt like 'someday...' things would get back on track. her actions and the odd occasional night-in together didn't help to make a clean break, either. when she got a new guy, incredibly soon after we separated (a coping strategy i think), i felt doubly-gutted. around my house all the time. one of the major reasons i hit the wall and flipped out on drugs; i couldn't deal with it. it's hard, make no mistakes about it. being good friends is a testament to how strong your relationship was - but it'll fuck you up inside. my best advice, although it's the hardest to take, is to properly break away from her and leave her to it. perhaps one day when she's done playing around with other guys and when she's done making more mistakes... she'll come back to you. but i wouldn't even entertain that thought for now: it'll eat you up whether you're conscious of it or not.
personally i cannot wait to start life again in a new house, away and fully detached from my ex. it'll give me a mental and emotional chance to PROPERLY start a fresh-slate. i recommend you do everything you can to try that, too. female psychology when it comes to 'being in love' is incredibly narrow-minded and selfish; i don't mean that insultingly... i just mean... when they fall in love with somebody and 'find someone else', they become totally tunnel visioned. they lose all normal consideration for your feelings - as an ex and a remaining good friend - and think that the new guy is the messiah. they become full psychological and emotional substitutes for what you once were. if you linger around, still trying to occupy that space in her life, you're only ever going to feel dissatisfaction, upset, and a real lack of self-worth. respect yourself, let the mad females stumble around from guy to guy still searching for the missing piece they'll never find... and go get laid

It's true what you say about women and them falling in love.
I'm living in a new house and so's she, but we're only two minutes away from each other, though we don't hang out all that often, maybe once a week.
I guess I've just got to focus on the things that weren't so good about our relationship as reasons why I should move on myself, emotionally. It gets a bit hard sometimes when all of a sudden you're smacked in the face with the memory of some really good times and how that's not happening anymore.
I guess it's just time to move on. I doubt she's going to wait around for me even if she isn't into someone else so I'd best just not wait around and see what might happen. Could waste a lot of time that way. She lost her mum to cancer a month ago, is seeing a counsellor and dropping out of uni for the rest of the semester, as well as drinking most nights of the week. It's probably in my own best interest to leave her be, even though part of me wants to be there for her. I guess I just have to let her make her own decisions and live her own life. Easier said than done sometimes.
With your drug binge, having the hardness of dealing with your ex just magnifies and compounds everything. At the time you think you're trying to cope but in reality you're making it worse. At least you weren't on psychadelics, that could've been one seriously fucked up trip.

Sh1fty, lower your expectations and don't focus on the girl too much. Try to have a good time at the camp in general, if you focus on the girl too much and it fails you'll look back and find you have let pass what could have been a nice four days with mates.
Well first day over, it's like 5 minutes from my place (but further for everybody else) so I'm spending the night home, it's also cheaper to not pay for the lodging.
Anyway, first day was freaking great, I had so much fun with my friends. But the girl I like is constantly hanging out with this other guy, FUCK HIM I wana see him get hit by a freight train no not really he's nice.
Whenever I was around her I just didn't know what to fucking say, she was taking care of the little kids (4-5 years old) of the cook who came.
I did however, make a big impression when she lost a ring from a really nice girl friend of hers and I found it for her, she kissed me on the cheek
