Oh boy do I fucking love this game! I spent forever exploring in the metro tunnels and finally got to the Foggy Bottom station. As I'm about to go to the computer terminal that holds something that looks like armor or some sort of suit, the game crashes. Last auto save was probably an hour or two prior. So I go through all that again, explore all around Arlington Cemetary, make it to Mama Dolce's. Go through nearly the entire area, killing everyone. Make it outside to the guy with the missile launcher. He kills me once, I re-load, take him out, then run up some stairs and suddenly die. I re-load again on my auto save at that point and I'm fucking stuck in a fucking wall with no HUD showing up; not even the guys out there are shooting me. I can still use VATS and still shoot the guys and they die, but they're not paying attention to me and I can't fucking move.
I exit to the main menu, re-load my auto save, and the same thing happens. And since the auto saves rewrite older auto saves, I have to go back to my last manual save... which was back at the start of the game...
Fuck this bullshit. I was only 5 or 6 hours in at this point, but it's fucking ridiculous. I was enjoying myself and having a good time, too. But now I'm completely turned off.

The Alien Blaster can be obtained from the body of a dead alien lying a few feet away from his crashed spaceship. The Alien Crash Site is found north of MDPL-13 Power Station and northwest of the Greener Pastures Disposal Site. It is not marked on the map. You'll know you're getting close when you pick up the "Recon Craft Theta" radio signal and your Geiger counter begins to click. But be warned, when tried to obtain it, there may be many Yao Guai surrounding it, so it may be advisable to pack a long range weapon such as a Sniper Rifle and a short range weapon such as a Combat Shotgun. Btw, a quick way to proper save is using console.
1. Press ~
2. Type in without the external quotations "save "savegame name" "
3. Press enter
4. Press ~
And once you have typed it once, pressing the up arrow immediately gets it back for you (like in cmd prompt).
Another command thats useful is "qqq" which quits the game.
Not saving often isnt really something I am sympathetic to, tbh. You would save your word/powerpoint/excel often, why not your game.

Alright, I started the game over, and things are moving along much smoother now. However I was almost done with the Blood Ties quest, was chatting it up with everyone and all I had to do was go back to the town and talk to the Evan guy. But on the way out of the station I killed the Family member that was on duty outside (Robert). How the hell would everyone else in the other area know that I killed him!?

I like to kill everyone. Or at least almost everyone. This guy was just laying on his bad in the dark little corner, so it was too tempting to blow his head off.
Guess I'll have to do a more serious playthrough later on and do all the side quests and whatnot. This first time through I just feel like killing everyone and only doing the main story.

I started the game over for PS3 when the patch came out since I haven't played it since a couple days after its release because I got distracted by other games. I had the pausing error when people logged in in the past, but nobody logged in on my friends list since I started playing again, so I wouldn't know about that. Just today, after I was playing for about 4 hours straight, I started having some small problems with textures. The ground textures took a couple of seconds to appear twice and while I was having those problems, the game locked up for maybe 3-5 seconds twice as well. That all occurred within a 3 minute span. Those were the only problems I have had so far and never had the graphical issues before the patch. I figured my PS3 was just overheating but after reading your post and doing some research I guess it's a known problem. I'm not sure how bad it is for other people, but for me, the complaints make it out to sound like the game sucks for PS3. So far after maybe 20 hours of progress, I've had issues for 3 minutes of the game. Sure, not perfect, but not bad enough to complain about either.Mekstizzle wrote:

This game continues to amaze me. Walked through bathroom door and found tripwire rigged to shotgun, no big deal, see this all over the game, but this shotgun was rigged into a busted up trash can. Also, killed a supermutant with a minigun another mutant went to him picked it up off his body and contined to blast me with it . Also shot a robot at the top of the stairs and I lol'd as he clattered off every step all the way down

none of those traps ever work, I always walk though them and i dont realize. They never seem to hit me

probably found about 12 or so, one is rigged up to three shotguns, i forget where, but disarming them gives you xp and a combat shotgun (Germantown Police HQ) i thinkFinray wrote:
