Fuck me that was a major crash. It somehow seemed like the closer he got to the wall that he wasn't going that fast, but then he hit it. RIP, although I'm sure he's happy to have gone out doing something he loved. That's the way I want to go.

Motor sports arent safe. Thats a given. I've seen far worse wrecks at NHRA/IHRA events...

My sympathies to Scotts family, and his team.
They all know what they are getting into each and every time they strap in to those monsters.

We are lucky John Force wasnt killed a month or so ago...

I hate it for Scotts family, and the sport. He will be missed.

Could be any number of things really. The sanctioning body will investigate, find the cause, and take reasonalbe action. Of that I am 100% sure. These things make close to 1000hp per cylinder...they are on the verge of detonating every second.

But if I had to guess at the cause...I'd say supercharger (blower) malfunction.

We'll know for sure soon.
