I'm backing Holland and Portugal.

Holland - Because I hope they win it, no real reason and of course to back Alpha.

Portugal - Because I have pulled Portugal and Russia out of the hat in work in our sweepstake. Its not your traditional sweepstake, you get bonus points for loosing and if the top scorer comes from one of your country you get bonus points for that. This means even if you pull a crap team out you can still win the money. I stand to win a whopping £40 if either of my two teams win it for me.

As per my other post I hope Austria don't go out now as The Swiss have and they are one of the two hosts.

I probably won't watch tonights game but if able I will be watching Holland v Italy tomorrow night. I really enjoyed last nights game except for the result. I thought the Turks were dirty and cheated, the commentators missed this and except concentrated on the weather. Credit must go to the ground staff for getting the pitch sorted at half time but this played into the Turks hands. The Swiss didn't deserve to be knocked out in that fashion but they had a glorious chance with about 10 mins to go, a 4 v 1 break away and if you don't take your chances you only have yourself to blame.

In regards to the "Football Chicks" I think Sweden already qualified. I wont be-little this thread with any pictures of them but imo they are looking the sweetest in this, the 1st week of the competition.

Portugals boss "Big Phil" has made the suprising step of signing as Chelsea's manager, that in itself isnt a suprise but the timing of it is. Perhaps he wanted to get it out the way so Portugal can concentrate on playing now. Will Ronaldo follow suit now and say one way or another where he wants to play next season?

Biggest dissapointment so far - France, however they often start tournaments a bit slow.

Warning to Spanish fans - You started the last tournament by scoring 4 goals aswell, look what happened there.

Im Welsh 100% but gutted England arn't there, same for all home nations. In my life time I have never known Wales to qualify so its not something I'm missing out on right now.

If the Dutch overcome France tomorrow, they will most likely avoid Spain until the semi-finals (if the Spanish get through, of course).

Change Greece with Sweden and there you have it No way Greece can go to the Quartrer-final now and their game was probably the worst seen in the championship so far.
