I read the rules of engagement set forth by EA concerning ranked servers and this clan server breaks a bunch of the rules. It goes by 24/7 wake ,and the clan tags/server name is =AE=. Ip is 216.246.9.6 I was kicked for killing a =AE= Luftwaffe with an F- 35B 3 times. He warned me once and then banned me for using a jet. He also kicked people for "being noobs"? What BS! http://www.yourfilehost.com/media.php?c … een054.png
Avoid this server ! PS. Is there an official site to report these asshats to?

The first part of your reply is a very narrow minded view of air power. I kept the bomber out of the air when I played and if the fighter was being effective against my team it got my undivided attention. I used the machine guns to kill jets not the Uber noob missiles. We are debating the fact that the air to air aspect used to take skill ,but now my five year old can shoot people down. All he has to do is happen by a enemy jet, point and click = dead. Skilless You are debating the air to ground aspect ,so I believe this is where the confusion on your part comes from.AoP wrote:

Here is a good post about the matter ,and it's not a rant about the ground AA. The new heat seekers completely killed the air to air combat aspect of the game .I know ground pounders will probably flame at this but they just don't get why we want to fly around and have dog fights I guess. http://forum.eagames.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=17993
Most jets and bombers on the servers I played were very rarely engaged in dogfights but rather busy bombing the shit out of foot troopers or vehicles. Simple reason: If one run can easily kill 6 (a squad that captured a flag maybe) or a run can lead to one, perhaps 2 kills (bomber) with a lot of hard work, I doubt any honest person would say they'd prefer the latter.
So what are we actually debating here?

No! Nice Sig C DAVE
Keep saying that to yourself ,I am looking forward to people being more confident in the AA. It will help My KDR tremendously LOL. I have seen more and more jumping in the AA turrets of late ,but they soon realized that it still doesn't help against a good pilot . I usually get to kill a fellow 3 to 5 times before he finally figures out that the little aa turrets don't work against me as well as they thought it would.k30dxedle wrote:

to all you plane/ heli whiners who had it so easy bombing us ground troops before, i can only say; its payback time.
LOL
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Now you guys get to see the other side of the tables...
I still get a real high KDR in a jet ,just not as good as I used to. I took gold in 3 matches today in a jet ,but A decent pilot could have ended this I suppose. I had no problems taking out the other jets with the heat seekers ,which are noobish anyway .I liked the DC method better. Radar on the fighter jets ,and you used the machine guns or lead your targets for the straight shooting missiles. The ground pounders had a tried and true method for base rapers it was called the stinger. The choppers are way too weak against the .50 cal. and the lack of being able to flip c-4 over on a tank has me really pissed. Many time I ran up to a tank today to place C-4 only for him to spin his turret looking for a target and crush me into wall or back up over me! F!@$ that!
If you are a noob pilot you will crah and burn quickly ,and if your good you can adjust ,but if the other team owns all the flags and they man every aa turret you are doomed. When they figure that out the jets will stay parked. The patch has some good and bad in it. The whiners won this round.

They shouldn't of nerfed the C-4 toss. You guys might have hated the c-4 tossers ,but I could wipe a tank out with it in a hurry. Now the armor whores will have less difficulty racking up the points .I used to make it my mission in Karkand to kill the tanks ,but I tried after the 1.2 patch and was very disappointed in the results( I was pwnd )...... I thought I would hate the weaker choppers and planes ,but was pleased with the results. It keeps the noobs down while I remained in charge of the air for the most part. It keeps the base rapers honest , knowing they will face better AA in the future . I did have to bail a few times cause if you have used your flares and are low on the afterburners and AA locks on you ,you are toast. You usually can no longer evade AA by turning hard right or a back loop without flares. I like that part ,but the loss of the C-4 toss sucks.binloading4ever wrote:
One thing i don't like.. You can't throw c4! Boo! I really enjoyed that and the c4 drop distance is so small you have to get literally a meter away from a tank to slap some c4 on. I hope the expert c4 requirements (currently 37 kills) is lowered because this will be almost impossible to get with the throw distance reduced in place!
Does anyone knows about this. I hope they did lowered it
Oh yea I almost forgot to mention that the new patch is really messing with my Norton internet security. Every time I update for new servers ,or try to join a server I get put back to my desktop with a internet security warning. I choose permit this BF2 .exe function ,but it keeps doing it over and over!!!!
The main hand weapons are much more powerful ,as I tried to knife a few I heard one shot and I'm dead. The new unlocks are cool . I noticed a fellow teammate firing his new sniper gun and I could hardly hear it from a distance, and after using it I found that It was very accurate as well. I just wish people would think before they gripe about things in the game. EA tries to please the whiners too much and can take the fun out if not careful . I still noticed that when you click on a white spawn point and move your mouse to the "done" button ,you still get the unselected effect sometimes ,which drives me crazy! I like most of the changes ,and was able to enjoy watching a FORMER bunny hopper get toasted by my trusty SCAR ,as he bounced around unable to return my fire .LOL
This is just great. They nerfed the jets and helos . I guess this proves that if you cry long and hard EA will cater to your whims. Why have the jet? just remove them from the maps.
Why?Cause he figures there is no way to get a score that high without hacking or padding that is why. Hell that's the way half of the ranked people think when they see a KDR that high or a global score above a certain figure. Or better yet you you have done the unpardonable thing and killed them too many times?
Well unfortunately I think this server was ranked ,which means either the people who rented it did not read the rules of having a ranked server or they did and choose to ignore it. But the point is as I have said in other forum the terms Cheat, padder, glitcher are overused and worn out. I wish someone from EA would put out a official definition of cheater ,padder ,and glitcher for all to read and use before accusing someone of such things.
What's next? Start downloading hacks to combat those that cheat? Plain and simple, its an exploit. Do you think Dice/Digital Illusions PLANNED for people to reach inaccessible areas by exploding themselves? No. It's extremely unrealistic, and its exploiting a bug.
PLUS not everyone knows that it is a bug. If only 500 out of 1,000,000 players know, not many can "knife them in the back" to begin with. It's a matter of unfair advantage. The guy that was on the Hotel roof...Could drop nades down on people trying to capp the flag. There is little one can do to prevent that, unless you happen to know the bug, and happen to be Spec Ops.

OMG some people are just pitiful. Create a squad , and ask for a arty drop on the building ,or if there is no commander so much the better APPLY! My God it's not complicated. Some call it cheating I call it being resourceful. Wall glitching is wall glitching and needs reported as such. This was FF turned off and the squad leader used c-4 to boost himself to the top. It's a old BF 1942 trick a lot used ,and guess what? , the whiners bitched so much EA patched it and took IMHO some of the crazy fun we used to have out of the game. Here is an idea Spawn as a special opps guy ,boost your self up somewhere nearby with C-4 , and create your own squad and own the dude on the roof. It takes as much effort to do that as it does to find a forum to cry on.

My thoughts exactly. I mean damn EA's dumbass programming to hell! They programmed in the game for the black hawk to be a vehicle to be used in a squad as a form of teamwork. But if you ever used it in a map as a pilot while as support with a good crew "wham-mo"! you are a stat padder. I have news for you witch hunters ,you can still use the black hawk this way , but after your crew has killed everyone at the flag 2 or three of a 5 man team jump out and take the flag while 2 give cover fire now instead of everyone just hoovering above the flag ,and yes the support class still auto resupplies everyone in the crew.aardfrith wrote:
I'm really confused by this whole thing. They present a combat game with badges, ribbons and other insignia that you earn by doing a set action a number of times - whether it's lobbing a flashbang, killing an enemy, repairing an asset/vehicle or parachuting through the air - and they expect you NOT to specifically attempt to gain those badges but to hope they will come through normal play?
I am willing to hold my hand up and say one time, I padded - I deliberately took a plane high over Dalian Plant, got out and floated down on my parachute to get a badge. Do I deserve to lose my whole account because of one measly badge (not even one that's points-driven)?
Is this stat padding? By God I hope not, cause EA will have a lot of work on there hands resetting half of the over 1 million ranked people who have done this to some extent or the other. If you read the rules of engagement EA doesn't come out and call that stat padding ,but server admins can make a rule against it. Having said that if someone had took a SS of my score without seeing how I got it , I could imagine how many witch hunters would have cried "PADDER you need your stats reset"!
I recently was accused of being a padder while doing this on a server ,and was banned from the server which is only my second bann since playing. Not only that but their clan put a big post in the forum with my name up that said CHEATER. Oh they opined their ignorant opinions of course. I piloted the BH because it's great for your teamwork score ,so i shouldn't do this cause I'm trying to inflate my stats? But if I happened to jump in the pilot seat without any notion of padding my stats and scored very high it's OK? Give me a break people. I had 103 total points that round and was banned for cheating/stat padding. Now we don't just have good pilots ,tankers, and ground pounders in the game ,we also now have professional witch hunters hoping to catch someone padding their stats as well.
I Know there is real padding such as flipping a boat over and repairing the whole round ,and the old knife, kill, revive trick. These are wrong ,and they are no brainers ,but I'm afraid the stat padder scare is speading out to ruin real honest teamwork ,and punishing good players who can rack up a good kill score as a jet pilot ,of which I have been accused of cheating at so many times I've lost count.
