i got outsniped by a PKM

I just played my first round on Karkand with the new patch. Couple thoughts.
1.- EVERYONE was using the new sniper rifle. I'm hoping it's just a novelty thing because sniper wars like I was having would suck. It is dead accurate, awesome scope, and I was getting mostly 1 hit kills. I love it... as long as the enemy doesn't use it against me.
2.- The P90 is awesome. Not as powerful as I thought, but definatelly worth the time.
3.- The assault grenade launcher has been modified and you can no longer shoot directly at the floor in front of you. This made it ineffective at close ranges, which was SWEET.
4.- You can't shoot once you jump. Period. No left click action basically so C4 tossing has been rendered useless. There is a slight delay after every jump, prone action so you CAN jump and go prone... but you're effectivelly limited to that action. You can't get up and keep doing it. This is by far the best solution ever.
Good job EA. Seems like it'll be a great patch.

Well I babelfished the german site where the patch is hosted. Now waiting for the official US version to be available from the EA site. Should be any day now.

The sniper rifle (AWP, I think): It pwns.
The p90: inaccurate and underpowered. Similar to the mp5.
Medics paddles: something is messed up
Choppers: Suck now
AA: Pwns now
GL: quite different, haven't yet decided.
I dont like the feel yet, but I'll give it time. I'm gonna miss my chopper.

The choppers just plane suck ass now. Everything else is good.
it would be good if any of the aussie servers had the patch......
There is definately something wrong with the medic paddles. I will hit somebody and it won't charge, then after a few seconds it charges. Sometimes people get revived before the animation goes off as well. It is just really buggy and got annoying. I only noticed it if I was using them a lot (kark.)
Should have never lowered the HP on the choppers and jets. Increasing the AA accuracy was really the only thing needed. . .now, everything that flies is made out of paper-mache.

As for the aircraft + AA. I'm disappointed because I did like the heli but I have no problem reverting to solely infantry. That's what I have been doing as of late anyway. It will be nice not to have to worry about chopper whores or having an f15 release it's payload on me.

my screenshots of my promotions werent saved. is anyone else having this problem?
People that removed/renamed the intro movies are saying that if they put them back where they should be than they no longer get the message.

Define fixed. If you mean does AA rape air vehicles now, Yes. Improved AA and decrease air vehicle strength. All they had to do was improve the AA, not air vehicles don't have a chance. I have no problem playing infantry though and it will be nice not to have to worry about being constantly pinned down by a heli.Ayumiz wrote:

The download servers are for real, the patch works 100% fine, before you play make sure you got to the "community" tab in your game menu and activate battlefield 2 and not special forces

Anti tank OWNS (seems to have more oomph)

Yup! My screenies won't save into the \My Documents\Battlefield 2\Screenshots directory either. In fact, I don't know where they are at all! The only thing I can think of, at the moment, is Alt+Tab out of BF2, paste into an image editor and Save As.F.Rabshaw wrote:
