I love mine. Wouldn't game without it.

Shall I explain it to you, the reading challenged?Papa Smurf 314 wrote:

Over 12 years old?
I think you're the 12 year old if you don't know what you're typing.
I tried using the pad for movement but felt that I had better control of all my commands when I used the keys for moving. That's a little odd, since I don't really have any problem using a thumbpad with console games. Donno if it's just the layout of the device that I can't get a handle on, or if I just didn't give it enough time. Certainly would free up alot of fingers to do other commands.WNxKiddParK wrote:
I find a lot of the N52'rs use the D pad to jump, but i always used it to strafe and backwards. My brother uses his for all WASD directions, but i just cant unlock my brain into NOT using a key to move forward.

My ability level versus other people is not the question here. Though, I'm not surprised that you'd be immature enough to not pay attention to anything that's been said and make that assumption. Seems pretty typical. Lemme try to explain it again for the simple minded adolescents. Pay careful attention.Atlas wrote:
Prove it... I'm sure you get owned every day by keyboard users. That's what people said about the N50, I bought it, and it was crap. Not enough buttons, and if I needed to type something I had to take my hand completely away from the controls to do so. Just another annoyance. I doubt buying an N52 is going to make anyone better at BF2.DobermanDog wrote:
Because as has been pointed out, for people able to adapt, the Nostromo does it better? And with less risk of RSI.Atlas wrote:
I have to agree with you man. I tried the N50 and it was no good. I'm sure the N52 is better and all, but I have been using a keyboard all my life, nothing is more natural at this point than my keyboard and mouse. Also, why take up extra desk space with an N52 when a keyboard does basically the same exact thing?

I'd really suggest setting aside some time and truly acclimating yourself to it. It takes a bit of getting used to, but if you don't give up the rewards are worth it. Though, I'd also suggest not bothering trying that with an N50. Not when the N52 is available for <$30.00. Buy an N52 and stick with it for a week or so.JimCognito wrote:
Yes, I know the arrows are WASD by default...but left control is further down. I've used the N52. What I should have said is the Full Keyboard format, not the WASD format. The clunky tab key, the clunky shift key, the number keys up top, G....I need 'em all. Too used to them. Played with the keyboard too long to feel comfortable with the Nostromo. My N50 is still collecting dust in the drawer here...who wants it!?!?!
Who dives behind objects in this game? If you start taking fire and dive prone behind the nearest obstacle in order to avoid fire, good for you. You're 1 in 1000. Typically though, idiots just leap straight up and then land on their bellies from what seems to be 10 feet in the air right in the middle of a wide open area. Not even the slightest relation to real-life physics or tactics.Beska wrote:
I don't like bunny hopping, or GL, but I think the diving is acceptable. It's what you would do in a real situation, it's life-like. You wouldn't jump up or down when being fired at, nor fire a grenade launcher at your feet, but you would dive behind objects.
The rifling has nothing to do with it. A longer barrel does usually mean a higher velocity and a "flatter trajectory" (depending on the powder charge in the round) but the extra length of rifling doesn't mean anything.fikraag7 wrote:
A longer barrel means higher muzzle velocity and a flatter trajectory (because of the extra rifling), thus more accurate and more damage.Anima05 wrote:
no its not more accurate, but much more powerfulfikraag7 wrote:
The G36E is more powerful than the G36C because the barrel is longer and thus the gun is more accurate and has a higher muzzle velocity
