Australia is MIGHTY!

I think Australia will have this series covered. so far, only Flintoff and Giles are performing well in the bowling aspect, but Hoggard was showing promising signs toward the end yesterday.

I think we will be too good. We have the home ground; we know the pitches; we have a full strength team with even more player options than you can poke a stick at; and England isnt at full strength - Jones is an awesome bowler - he isnt here. And Trescothic, well, depression ftw?

If we dont win this Series though, we may have to declare war and take back the ashes using force.....or bodyline V2

QFT, they were compairing him to been the Bradman of our time on Sunrise earlier today.

Speaking of Ponting, I do like seeing the mind games he likes to play with the opposition. At the press conference yesterday, saying they had the best start possible with that wide by Harmison is only going to prey on Harmisons mind. In the context of the match, it means nothing, but by making such a big deal, he has messed with one of the English strike bowlers heads, and that is very good tactics.


Oh one other thing, didn't Billy Bowden create a good old laugh? "Howzat????" Finger goes up.........to scratch his nose. Ha. The Kiwis do have an impact on the game, be it a small one.

I'm glad we're playing Giles instead of Monty. Monty is a liability when fielding and Giles is much better with a bat, he's just not better at bowling by enough to justify replacing Giles as first choice.

Maybe so. We do have a lot of injuries this time round though (and no home advantage). It's what always happens to England, we get a great team and win loads of stuff, then all our players mysteriously break. Just like with the rugby, awesome team, win the world cup, then they break/retire - now they're all shit. Football, we have a great team, or should I say a team of great players - because they're clearly not a great team.

If we had Simon Jones (who was very important last time because of his reverse swing), Trescothick (who we are going to badly miss when we come to bat) and Vaughn still as captain, it might a different story.

Still, early days yet. We might be able to salvage something, but I doubt it. Ponting's on fire, damn that crazy little beaver man.

Im kinda glad we are playing the English Cricket Team and not the Barmy Army...  They add alot to the game, and do it in fun; they organisation and logistics involved would b no small matter either.  Props to the BA organisers imo
