Hi! I have a K8N Neo2 motherboard with a AMD Athlon 64 processor, now i got 1024MB memory an my question is watt brand and type 2MB memory can i use for this rig? Thanks for all suggestions! I`ll give karma points too those of you that can answer me on this? Please!!

Preferrably identical to the memory you have installed now. That way you'll minimize the possibility of conflicts. Have an even amount of RAM sticks, so you can implement DualChannel-mode.

any brand, just get a matched set and make sure you put them in the right slots for dual channel, take the memory that is in there now and save it for a rainy day.

You might want to download CPU-Z and that will tell you the manufacturer of the RAM you have in now. Although if your adding to you existing RAM it shouldn't matter as long as the sticks you want to dual channel are the same.

yes 184pin DDR400 PC3200 they are about one in the same

2mb u might want to upgrade to 2x1gb sticks

Thanks! tested the maskin and i could run upp too 4 gb memory! Tempting! i have put this side a mine favorite the gave a lott of information i didnt even know about the maskin , soo thanks again too ya all! You are brother in arms see ya on the battle field!
