I have basic explosive ordinance, nearly veteran (i just needed 30 more seconds in one round to get kill 15), and have no explosive efficiency pins (8 kills in one round). It isn't just that server because i have fulfilled the requirements several times. Is this a general problem or just my account? or do you have to use the RDX instead of the APM and be on the ground?

Yup, they work alright.
EDIT:- It's any combination of RDX, APMS and loller mines. So I dunno why you havn't got one yet.

I've got my Vet Explosives badge, and I'm one of those noobs whoring APMs and RDX on the titan that pisses so many people off. But I've only got one of those pins... I get 8 explosive kills pretty much every Titan round I play on, yet only one pin... I think you may be right in the assumption they are fucked to shit.

7 APM kills + 7 roller mine kills + 7 RDX = 21 explosive kills but no explosives pin
8 APM kills = Explosives pin
Dang I'm pretty sure I got at least 8 kills with the APM's when I got my silver explosives badge but I guess I'll have to have another go at it...

Finally got my pin last night. On the very same map I got my veteran explosives badge and with the same munitions... Guess the patch helped out somehow.
as a lot of people have stated ( at least on Titan for me ) APM-mines does´nt count use RDX and you´ll get it
To me it seems they changed this with the last patch. I am quite sure I got that pin a few times today after killing someone with APMs which in the end means a mix of APMs and RDX to get 8 kills.madmurre wrote:

at the end of the round jumping off the Titan if it explodes -> Pin
+ all the points you've earned for kills/teamwork..

Actually APM mines DO count toward the Explosive pin.
I checked my stats and I only have 2 RDX kills and 0 Motion mine kills. I still have the Explosive pin from APM mines.
And I clearly remember not using RDX the round I got it. So stop saying those Claymore don't count because they do.

I've 'earned' it, I mean I've had the required kills IAR, but I wasn't awarded it. I've also had trouble with the collector's pin. I've earned it twice, it even popped up on my screen and showed at the end of the round, but it has never appeared in my stats. Oh well.

Just found that out yesterday
Titan Survival Pin = only for assaulting the enemy Titan..
And indeed the patch did make it so APMs now do count for the Explosives Pin.
I tried defending the Titan using only APMs (and my gun & knife of course).
Result: about 12 APM kills = 1 Explosives Pin
Sad that they didn't patch that BEFORE I got my Expert Explosives Badge and Expert Recon Badge..
Oh yea well, still loads of fun :-)
