My friend deleted his old account on gamespy.com but he still see's his stats on here as well even though he can no longer log into it. I think the accounts and stats are kept separately.

You can kiss that account goodbye! The account at gamespy is linked(PID) to an account at EA's stats server. Well, you've now broken that link. I doubt you'll get any help from anyone at EA or GS.
