Does it mess up your settings in the menu screen, or when you start the game?

If it is when you start the game, you may want to go into options and there should be something saying reset to default.

Assuming ur drive is C:
This also assumes that ur the 0001 profile.
C:\Documents and Settings\XPprofile\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001
GO to the file Video.con this is what the default settings should look like. this is everything on low or off.

Code:

VideoSettings.setTerrainQuality 1
VideoSettings.setGeometryQuality 1
VideoSettings.setLightingQuality 1
VideoSettings.setDynamicLightingQuality 0
VideoSettings.setDynamicShadowsQuality 0
VideoSettings.setEffectsQuality 1
VideoSettings.setTextureQuality 1
VideoSettings.setTextureFilteringQuality 1
VideoSettings.setResolution 800x600@60Hz
VideoSettings.setAntialiasing Off
VideoSettings.setViewDistanceScale 0.75
VideoSettings.setVideoOptionScheme 3
Edit: Use notepad to edit the file. BTW i always use A prog Called EDIT PLUS 2 u can find it on downloads.com

When i get to video.con...it says the windows needs to find the appropiate program to open it...and to answer the first guys question...it is blury all the way through (the login, menus, everything) so I can't just reset it.

Also, if you are on an LCD (which I bet you are) then you MUST ... MUST run the game at your monitors native resolution in order to stop it from "blurring" your image.

The easiest and quickest way to accomplish this is to RightClick your BF2/SF shortcut(s) and at the end of the Target add " +szx 1280 +szy 1024" so it looks something like:

Code:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024
Of course, make the numbers and path match your system.
