Hi,

Yesterday we sorted the X-Fi mode thing. Since this card (SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio) doesn't have this game mode the X-Fi setting in BF2 is not available, thx for th e support.

Now the real troublesome, what about the drivers. After installing the card and the drivers the game was was like swimming in syrup and the longer into the game the worse it gets. I had the latest drivers installed but have to uninstall them since it just didn't work to play.

Anyone having the same problem... ...and a solution???

Happy for any answer...

that is unusual, are you sure it was the drivers and not all the additional junk of programs and tray icons and god knows what they run in the background for you when you instal their disk fully?

You can check the cpu usage with rightmarks cpu utilisation test, it shouldnt be more than around 5%ish of your cpu when its working its hardest, just open the cpu test, expand dsound or openal, click a heading and press benchmark (Turn sound down first tho).

Get rid of cthelper.exe it's the worst program and has alot of memory leaks. Why Creative doesn't or can't fix it I have no idea.
