We've got the lawn mower (previously mentioned) and the Hill's hoist. We also have the most sheep in the world I love lamb.. mmmm... lamb.

He did loads of stuff. Including inventing the lightbulb. Unfortunately he was a few years behind Swan.

Edison was certainly the better inventor overall, but the lightbulb had been done already.

Edit: Someone wrote me about this post, but PMs aren't working for me so I'm responding here: the above is not sarcasm - I really think it's possible for Americans to feel this way about our country. Obviously we need some major changes made with our top leadership and our top foreign policy decision-makers. But the stuff about the land and the people, I believe to be true, and I think any non-Americans who have visited anywhere outside of downtown NYC will agree.
