The patch was rushed so that the main issue (most importnat issue at hand) was taken care of.
Although I don't have fact to back this up, I believe that it was necessary for a full patch because of the multiple problems caused by the incrimentals. I can remember countless threads on here, for people who have used the incrimentals and have had their games blow up in their faces.

Thats not truth. For a change as big as to improve server stability across the board, 500 meg isn't too bad. I've been on many servers which have crashed.zedxer wrote:

Apparently, a few of you have been having problems after downloading and installing Battlefield 2 Patch 1.41. After numerous attempts to try and fix the memory issues, we closely and meticulouosly inspected our hardware, and found the root of most of our problems.
