The North Koreans are a bunch of base campers.  Sure they'll request a UAV flight over the carrier, but not a one of them will fly or boat out to attack it.  They just sit on shore with sniper rifles waiting for us.  Seen it before a thousand times on Wake.  God I hope we pwn those noobs.

It looks like shite. 7 Aircrafts have tried to shoot it down but failed. Well, you would wonder how 7 pilots who have probably excellent skill in flying, couldn't shoot down a slow moving drown.
how the hell do you know seven aircraft tried to shoot it down????
do you know what a sea sparrow is???
ill give you a hint: its not a bird.
he was refering to the second video, where the officer said in the interview that something like 6 f-18's and and an ec-2 launched

Compared to US UAVs that UAV definately sucked ass.  US UAVs have super smooth camera shots.  Also, in this world of crazy Iranians and stuff I wouldn't believe anything that comes out of that country.  Besides, an F-18 has a top speed of Mach 1.8, while a X-45C (a UAV) a new UAV as of 2002 can only hit Mach 0.85...

Honestly a F-18 going more than twice the speed of a UAV could catch that thing in minutes...  AND I really don't think that shaky piece of crap was able to hit Mach 0.85....  If it truly was a UAV.  From the looks of the camera it was probably a normal jet with an Iranian who had a Sony Handy-cam.
Ding ding. Winner.

From the looks of the second video, the plane they showed isn't even a typical aircraft at all, it's a WIG effect craft.

"The class of vehicles you mention are popularly known as Ground Effect Vehicles, or Wing in Ground (WIG) Effect Vehicles. As you indicate, what makes this class of craft unique is the fact that they fly at altitudes on the order of tens of feet, or a few meters. In so doing, they take advantage of a peculiar aerodynamic principle known as the ground effect."

Edit: The guys on deck were probably sitting there laughing at the Iranian's civ. chopper flying around them, if anything. That's the only way they could have gotten that close to the carrier without being escorted away/shot down. As the video looks like it was taken from the side of a Helo, with as many people have mentioned as a home camera.

That interview implies they captured an American drone and reprogrammed it...

I will lol so hard if that turned out to be the actual picture quality.  I don't know if anyone here is familiar with the particulars of a telephoto lens, but essentially even the slightest turbulance or vibration will be greatly emphased, as these things literally zoom in on subjects miles away.  And guess what.... the Global Hawk uses one.

There's a new class of UAV probably called DUAV or TUAV that will hunt down other UAVs...

What do you think?  Did the carrier detect it or not?  Is it even real footage?
I'm betting they knew it was there, didn't do anything about it because that might have started a conflict.

Whereas flying and losing UAVs over Iran wasn't?
