What should it be?
Should we even have it?
Doesnt everyone deserve life?

An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.  If some asshole kills a member of my family, they deserve the same fate.  May GOD have mercy on their soul and they better pray that the police find them first, if find them first I shall not show mercy, nor will they ever be found.  A little harsh, maybe, but I'll let the MAN upstairs judge me on that.

There too many people in the world to suffer murderers and child molesters.

I didn't actually answer your question, my bad.
What  should it be??----The same way that they killed someone else (gunshot for gunshot you get the idea)
Why should we have it?----Fair is fair.
Doesn't everyone deserve life?---No, some scumbags are a waste of my air, not to mention my tax dollars.

That's just my opinion, and everyone knows that an opinion is like an asshole, everyone has one.

IDK.
I really don't like the government having the ability to take a life or torture.
But then another side of me says that murders and other sick people deserve death or worse.

As a Christian, I am against the death penalty... However:

If anyone touched my daughter I can guaran-fucking-tee you I would kill them with my bare hands.  I wish I were a better person than that, and I hope one day I am.

While I am morally against the death penalty, I don't feel I have the right to tell someone that their family member's murderer's life will be spared even though they did not afford that right to their loved one.  I believe in the New Testament and don't believe in an eye-for-an-eye, but Jews do.  Who is to tell them they cant have the justice they seek?  It is logically the most fair option.

However, you can keep someone in prison for something like 250 years for the same price it costs to execute them.  Capital punishment is amazingly expensive.

Wouldnt life in prison be worst then death?

Bullets: 180 grain $30 for a box
Scope: K-mart special $25
Total: $655  (now thats getting your money's worth)

The actual execution is not that expensive.  It's all of the appeals and red-tape.

I am against capital punishment, but if there's someone who gets in a prison and doesn't show any sign of improvement after let's say 2 years, I think he should be executed. It is a waste of resources, and even if they got the wrong guy, if he acts like he's guilty, it's his fault, isn't it?

.22 to the back of the head, bullet goes in, bounces around, doesn't come out.  then you send a bill for the $.03 round to the family of the executed.

The government should never be allowed to kill its citizens. The more we know about the nature of free will and how the brain works, the worse the case for execution gets.

I'd rather cook em than waste hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars pampering them. I say follow texas's example, put in an express lane.
