cant get staff sargeant rank?????

hey guys. this is my very first post :-)

in bf2 i have a problem getting the staff sargeant rank. i thought one needed to gain 5000 points to achieve this rank?? Currently i have 5033 points and the white progress bar (as far as i can see) is up to the end.
(id post a picture but i cant figure out how to???)
Any help would be much appreciated.

Wait give it time. I had a REALLY interesting problem. I got Staff Sergeant at 4999 Global points BFHQ said I had 4999 and showed my SSgt rank. My guess is that there is more to the system then meets the eye. If you were at 5500 points I would worry, just keep playing and see what happens. Your next game should get it.

you just need to wait a little while, join a new server and when you get your first point you should be promoted.

i went to the imageshack website (http://www.imageshack.us/) and followed the instructions on the web page.
you dont need to register or anything. pretty good if you ask me ;-)

That happened to me too. Remember that there are thousands of other people being promoted all the time. You have to wait for it to promote you.
