You could, for example, easily attach thermite charges to railway tracks around London and ignite them remotely, all you would need would be some thermite (easily makeable), a few mobile phones and a train timetable, that would cause mass train derailment across the city, especially during rush hour. It would also cause panic amongst commuters and no one needs to blow themselves up. Maybe they are organised, doesn't mean they come up with decent plans (with one notable exception).
Do you realise you are about 400 times more likely to be killed by a car than a terrorist. Being scared of terrorism is just pointless.
I'm not saying don't do anything about it, but the civil population shouldn't pay any attention to terrorists. I know I don't. Just let the people who should be tracking them down get on with it and leave it at that. The whole war on terror idea is exactly the opposite of what should be done. Publicity is the life blood of terrorism, don't give it to them.
