I was wondering, should I get the 7600GT?
I have a Pentium 4 processor and 2 gigs of RAM
I want a good temporary card until I get my new rig in a few months.
So is the 7600 worth it? Can it run BF2142 on all mediums or highs?

Is this one any good?

A 7600GT is an excellent card. With 2 Gigs of RAM, you'll be able to run nearly on all high. I only have 1GB of RAM and I can run medium settings on a full Titan server with no lag

sweet, but does anyone suggest a certain company to buy it from? Is the link I posted good?
Cause it is from this company:  eVGA

I think it doesn't really matter on the company

BTW, that price is excellent. I bought mine for 200+ Euro

eVGA is the best, they are quality and have a step up program, within a certain time, you can upgrade to the best for a lump sum.  Bottom line it's ill.

XFX is pretty sicknasty too.  I've gotten two cards so far from them, very pleased and they look great too.

Baaaaaaaaad.  I have it, at 256mb, almost no increase in performance over a 6800 128mb.  Yes, a regular 6800.  There is an increase, but not much.  The 7600GT is much better.

It's a lot closer to $250 , at todays exchange anyways.

7600 GT is your best bet I think, its the best mix of good graphical perfomance at a reasonable price, obviously you dont get all the top settings, but for a card thats to last for just 6 months or so?  Then I think you can live with it, should run smoothly on all medium, and try ur luck with a few highs.

i have evga 7800 gt and it's badass. i have most settings on high, just a few dropped to med so i can play with higher fps.

just saying evga is good, and if you get a bad card, they're good about rma's, and their tech support isn't bad either.
