Hopefully by then a lot people will have abandoned the "It's you or us" type of thinking... John McCain and Rudi Guliani are quite moderate, and a lot of Democrats wouldn't mind having either of those guys as President.... I know I wouldn't.

Aside from that - please refer to the platforms for each individual representative. For better or for worse, Dem platforms tend shy away from oversimplistic catchphrases. A party platform that can be summed up in 20 words or less would be anathema to a thoughtful person - and I think the Dems take pride in things like thought and logic. If what you look for in a party is a simple message, I think you'd better stay with the Republican party. Dems make you do a bit more research and think a little harder.
