I had 700 pts till my next rank so I thought I'd just play 250 pts tonight, so I scheduled about 2 hours of play or so (2spm x 120 mins). Well I had an awesome round defending the Titan and well what do you know, 720 fucking points. Gotta love it.

i love infiltrator pins. a lot. and distinguished pins too.
I love the pins in 2142. Makes up for the single piont for a kill and half a point for assist thing
So do the points from the awards add up to your in-game score? Cos I really don't understand global score and career points.
Your gloabal score is like your BF2 score, your kills, cap points, etc. The career score includes all the points you get for badges, pins etc, and it's the career score that is used to work out your rank.
that's my favorite part of this game, the ranks aren't far apart, and if you work for your badges, pins, ribbons, you can rank up reasonably.
i've got most of the basic badges, and i'm working on about 4 of the silver ones. they finally mean something in 2142, vs bf2 where it was more of just bragging rights.

yeah yeasterday I had 2 rounds of 1700 (give or take) in a row. I timed it so that I get silver and gold in the same round just for the fun of it. Silver Recon + Gold Titan attack, than Silver support + Gold Titan defend. Than 3th round I got Gold explosives
