It works best for Titan defense. Not bad for ground work, but it depends on what map I'm playing on. God awful for titan assault unless you're camping in the rafters.

- Anybody Have Success with the Ganz?
I see a lot of people saying it's great for titan defense, but I doubt it's better than the 2 original weapons support get access too. I can kill 5-6 guys without overheating with the shuko, because it usually only takes a short burst to cut their heads off, like less than 1 second firing.
I like the Ganz, I use it every now and then, but there is a few things you cant do. The biggest one is NEVER go from crouched to prone if an emeny is within 30 miles of you, because the scope comes in too slowly.
The high rate of fire is much more useful, so I've used the Ganz for about one round. Easy to compare on the titan, when theres a corridor full of support guys, the LMG guys always get the kills.
Its awesomely paowerful, I love it.
Ganz HMG is a perfect weapon for camping.
If I know that enemy doesn't have a decent sniper, and I have found a safe spot for camping, what I do then is to put the sentry gun in the position where enemy might come in (to alert me from those knifers) and possibly put down the barrier (I said possibly since this gives away my position). After the precaution has been made, its time to pluck out enemy from far away.
However, I am not a support player most of the time (I have least amount of time spent on support class out of the four classes) hence I can not give a very detailed report on this weapon.

The accuracy of the Support weapons do take a while before they are the most accurate. But it is even worse after sprinting. If you sprint a short distance, the accuracy will take a lot longer to narrow down. The best thing when using the Ganz is to try not to sprint when you know the enemy is about. Also if you can, walk about in the crouch position in tight situations. If you do this then you will have a lot greater accuracy than walking, and when you switch to prone you will almost have instant accuracy.
As has been said before, the weapon is great for camping. Find youself a nice high position where you know the enemy will have to come past, stick up your shield, and even place your sentury gun somewhere which forces the enemy onto your position.

i heard of a trick...you run/sprint with any other weapon except ur HMG(pistol/knife/grenades/etc.)...then you go prone and completely stop moving and take you your Ganz HMG, the is crosshairs already closed and in the most accurate mode
not sure whether it works though

hmmm...that's interesting. i'm a sprint whore so that may explain the major inaccuracy with it. will try ganz again without sprint.theDude5B wrote:

would be a shame for this gun to suck so bad with a name as cool as GANZ!
glanz more like lol
really, i didn't know that.............regarding the ganz, i think its a great gun and just needs to be used properly. the whole "accuracy getting better the longer you fire" is kind of annoying though considering how fast it overheats.TheEternalPessimist wrote:
Erm it's kills with and deaths by in 2142 stats, not like BF2 stats, i dunno if you made a typo or I mis-understood but youve died more than 21 times while using it i garuntee you that.staticblue wrote:
I though the same for the first few rounds. Then I got the hang of it. 174 kills and only 21 deaths with it so far. I use the Ganz on the ground and the Clark on the titan. Didn't change my playstyle much for the Ganz. Just taking out further targets.
My Ganz stats
Its a camping weapon for sure, and like the pkm from bf2 .. use short burst ... its not better than the others (imo) ... just different

actually.. once you've heated up the barrel, short bursts are more accurate
so:
long burst to heat up the barrel and reduce the crosshair deviation,
then short bursts for long range sniping
so:
long burst to heat up the barrel and reduce the crosshair deviation,
then short bursts for long range sniping
if ur f'ing caps lock broken? At longer range the short busrts are more accurate ... althout the recoil makes a huge jump and subsequesnt shots take longer to recover. So short are more accurate, but the shots are more spaced ... if you hold it down the recoil is less .. i see where u are coming from though[69th_GFH]GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

The way suppot works is the deviation between bullets is less, thus each bullet is more accurate compared to the one before it. Although, because you are firing more there is more recoil thus the precision of the gun is lost.
Personally I love the Ganz. Just gives me that feel I've been looking for. I could be because I'm usually a sniper. I don't know, just the feel is better than the other weapons. I've had it overheat but I usually only fire in bursts of 6 or so, thus it doesn't overheat as fast.
The smaller drum makes no difference for me. I'm support I have techniqually infinite ammo.

Okay, can somebody break this down for those who are less technically inclined? Now that we have the numbers/stats, what is it about the Ganz that people don't like? What in these stats can give us an idea about how best to use it?JovesApples wrote:

I used the Ganz few times once I got it but I liked Bianchi and Shuko more because they get their aim more accurate faster and they can fire for a longer time. Plus both fire faster to.
Maybe I'll use the Ganz a bit more now after seeing that it does more damage and I gotten the hang of using the weapons in BF2142 to.
