I tried to make my friend an ingame buddy like you could in 1942, by putting
"ab #assigned to the player's name"
but it didn't work...
can you add buddies in BF2?
In 1942 the person's name would be green if he was playing with you on your team.

You should be able to, unless it was disabled in the latest patch. I believe I remember doing it this summer, though I could have been playing BF:VN.

i've never heard of this happening in BF2.  as far as i know, there is no friends/buddy system.

Yeah. It seems inexcusable that in this day and age an online multiplayer game would not have a way to easily find and play with your friends. Instead, you have to rely on third-party apps.
