Guide: How to login to your BF2 account faster

This is how to log into your BF2 account faster. This procedure basically just clears your BF2 history/favorites.

My time to login went from like 15 secs, to 5.

1. Go to /My Documents/"your user name"/Battlefield 2/Profiles/0001

2. Open "General.con" with Notepad

3. Delete any lines containing:
addServerHistory
addFavouriteServer

Done. Enjoy.

just open up my computer, hilight everything in it and click delete......

no i have bf2autoloader installed and it has an option to get rid of them at start up.

the .bik files in your "movies" folder...

.....Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies

It's a guide on how to login faster, not start the program faster. I'm assuming that you have already figured out how to disable the movie.

Not sure why the BF2 - Improvement forum would be an inappropriate place for this thread. It is an improvement to BF2, after all. Thanks anyway forum police.

No really, how do you get rid of the movies?
Doesn't just deleting them crash your game?

War Man, being a better sniper has nothing to do with logging into the game faster. Go troll somewhere else.

To get rid of the movies without PB getting angry with you, just go into the movie folder and rename them with something extra in the filename. If the moive is for example "Intro.mov" rename it "Intro1.mov" the game and PB don't seem to recognize the change.
