since when do illegals pay taxes?

pipe dream, i wish i got to keep half as much of my paycheck as the illegals i've had to work with across 8 states, and then there's the huge chunk that get paid cash daily, what are you expecting tobacco taxes to bolster the economy?

Agreed, I hate how a lot of people think they are superior because they got lucky and were born in a well off country.  Sure it sounds cliche... but they (the people hoping the border) are people too....

Seriously, if you were born in Mexico and you were trying to provide for your family, and the ability to do that was just a border hop away, would you not try?  I'm not justifying the illegal immigrants breaking the law and not doing the necessary things to get into this country LEGALLY, but in all honesty, who in their right mind wouldn't?  Don't you all want the best for your family? It's the same idea, they were just unlucky enough to get born into a poverty stricken nation.

And hell, I haven't seen an American picking anything in a long time.  $7.50 or whatever minimum wage is isn't appealing to the average American citizen.  If we deported all the illegals, I promise you wouldn't see fresh produce in your grocery store, and if you did it would be really, really expensive.

I have no idea what the democrats will do with immigration but I believe that the only way to stop it is to make Mexico a better place to live.  Or build a 50 ft tall wall with an impenetrable metal wall running underneath it (to prevent tunnels), with guards placed every 100 yds....
