Since i have installed BF2, I have had to re-boot my comp everytime I wanted to play. Is this a bug?

- Restarting comp due to program failure
Why do yo uhave to restart? What does it do if you don't restart?
it does this error thing. Says "BF2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
well your not being very clear. Do you have to restard to regain use of the system? or just to play a game.
bf2 is a pain in the ass sometimes, what version are you using? did you just get it?
best advice, do a clean install of the game. Uninstall it, go into regedit and look for any left over install bits(it seems with patch 1.3 though the uninstall works pretty good with clearing out reg entries though), run ccleaner or simiar tool perharps. Delete any folders taht may be left over etc.
reinstall the game, if you have special forces just install that first so it can patch to 1.1, otherwise you will have headaches. then install patch 1.4
i know its crazy but it works, shouldnt be this way.. but that is life with this game

>sigh< what a pain. In order to play the game, I have to restart the computer... everytime. I'll do that, though
