It's clear that Hillary is a favorite whipping boy (er, girl) of conservative pundits.

But exactly what about her political career makes her such an object of ire? Or is it just because she's Bill Clinton's wife?

Regardless - there's no way Hillary will run in 08. Whether it's her own doing or not - she polarizes, and it's clear from the midterms that the 70% of the country in the middle is what will decide elections. Dems need someone who appeals to mainstream conservatives, and I don't believe Hillary will do so. Whether Pelosi will remains to be seen.
