I'd change my views, because that's the nature of why I changed my stance on the death penalty. Pretty much after 9/11, I became pro-death penalty...teddy..jimmy wrote:
Now this is NOT a thread asking if you whether or not you support the death penalty or are absolutely against it.

Assuming that you were against the death penalty would you allow your views to change slightly considering Saddam's verdict? Would you take into account the millions of deaths in which he is responsible and think maybe this bastard deserves to get his neck snapped? OR would you stand by your views and condemn the verdict deemed upon him?
Discuss...
People stupid enough to think that don't deserve to be in existence anyways.IRONCHEF wrote:
It let's people know that killing is actually ok to do, cuz hey, the law did it! Must be ok!
Also, you would forgive a man who raped your wife infront of you and your kids, then murdered each one infront of your own eyes in the most painful manner possible? Seriously, try and get yourself to think that just happened. Then convince yourself you wouldn't want to see him suffer for his atrocities, to see him extinguished from this earth? If someone raped and killed someone I know and love... if someone raped my girlfriend (don't have one but if i did =p) I'd not only want them dead, but I'd want to be their executioner.
And yes, corrections is a joke. IF someone's nutty enough to murder 3 people once, what's stopping them from doing it again?

Yes, Even if I was against the deatthddd\\
Crap, I can't even fake being against the death penalty, hang the prick.
Regardless whether someone killed 1 person or 10000 people, it would make me morally a murder to support the death penalty. If you were to say "Yea, he was REALLY bad. Kill him" you would have to start drawing lines as to where the death penalty is warranted. All of a sudden you have become for the death penalty. If you feel someone has to kill 100 people to get the death penalty and others say 1 is enough, you are both supporting capitol punishment.
As jsnipy eloquently put - belief has no holiday.
