Ok i know there are many other threads about expert knife, but i didn't see any about this problem most were showing off their screens of getting it or discussing how to get it.

My problem is two rounds in a row I met the IAR for expet knife, but still don't have it. At the begining of the first round i had 125 knife kills and got 32 knifes that round. (i keep count when going for something.)

the second round I got another 36 and still not knife kills. I had been ont eh server for about four rounds when i joined i had 85 knife kills somewhere around 200. I never left the server but no the BFHQ had updated putting me over the 100 knife kill requirement. I'm curious does anyone know why it didn't give me the badge. personally i think it might be because i got all those kills in one server without leaving and so for whatever reasing it didn't give it to me.(in 5 rounds i got roundly 100-120 knife kills in one server on karkland.)

anyway anyone help? I'm going to try again tomarro evening for it and hopefully i will get it. I haven't statpadded to get the expert knife so I'm looking at it as a badge of honor because it aint easy.

Kills: 179 Deaths:65 ratio:2.75

If you got your 100th knife kill in the same round you got the 32 kills with knife EA probaly didnt update quickly enough, just wait for a while and try again.

no my 125 kill was a round before the 2 rounds i met the IAR requirement. the round that i got 32 knife kills in (the first round i tried) i checked bfhq and it showed me having 125 reqistured knife kills well over the needed 100.

EDIT;
heres ho0w the five rounds went

Round 1: 79 global knife kills start

Round two: more knife kills

Round three: more knife kills

Round four: While commander election going on i checp BFHq have 125 knife kills in stats showing. Get 32 knife kills that round

Round Five: 35 kills, edn of round 5 still no badge.

it seems like you needed to leave and reenter before the "global requirements" were met.

A similar thing happened to me when I got gunny sarge. I had 7950 pts when I went into the server and after a few games I had 8020. I thought "yay, 1 pt and i get a promo", but I didn't. I had to log out and then score 1 more point for my rank.

thanks for confirming mu suspsion mcminty (and your attempt at help mikey). Alright hopefully i can get into knife mode again later tonight (its onyl a qaurter to 5 am and have a plane to catch in a couple of hours lol) If i can i will ge tthat elusive little bastard of a badge. Then I will wear it wiwth pride HOOAH!

you know i rethought about this and it really makes me sound like a stat whore. I'm not honostly. It's just I have in every FPS i ever played love the knife and in most cases in BF2 the knife is hard to use. Hell the IAR for the Expert is insane to most people. (just a fun challange for me) Of all the badges their are three i respect greatly if gotten without cheating Expert Knife, First Aid, and Repair. The reason being is their IAR are not easy to get and require patience and skills. Especially the first aid and repair, because you don't always get heal/repair points so without stat padding it will be hard, but well worth the honor of getting them.

lol, about what you said for IAR reqs... i can't even get 7 kills with a knife. I got close once tho, 1 kill to go. BUT, as I was on the ground about to swing i die. What do I see?

The finally killed me by sending their trusty suicide god to kill himself and me with a m203 shot to his feet killing both of us. Ah well it was fun. I'm sorry to me it's far more satisfying to kill someone with the K-bar while they try to shoot me with their assault rifle/carbine/wahetever than shooting them.

As to getting the knife badge i suggest a good city map. Karkland, Shaqri in bf2 or Ghost town/warlord in sf (there are others, but those are the ones I prefer. different for every person though.)

anyway good luck to yourself with getting your knife badges. (will provided your not going to stat pad to do it. I can't stand people who will stat pad with an enemy medic to keep getting knife kills.)

I am gonna try it to, i have found a good server who runs 24/7 strike at karkand 64 players and it is always full. I've already got my basic explosive ordinarance badge there (20 c4 kills) and it was easy as hell. so 18 knifekills shouldn't be too hard .

if your wondering why i have 101 tags before my name instead of KUl it's because i join the tour and had just gotten out fo a divisional practice so hadn't switched back to my clan tags from my tour tags.

anyway got that fucking ellusive badge.

Apparently, you have to run around with your knife out all the time... sounds like a golf punishment for not hitting past the woman's tee...

I have received 3 badges for other reasons while trying to get my stupid basic / vet knife... My only remaining hope is the noobs on SF who don't know the maps yet, because there is just too many people who expect knifing on Sharqi / Karkand.

I am afraid I will get my Vet Commander before I am done with this knife!

actually i still kakrland is the best for pistol/knife badges. I've pissed more than one person with an assault rifle off, by running headlong into their face and knifeing them. (i have a ping of 20-40 on the servers i usually play on so no lag here.) just goes to show some people can't hit shit even when they are courched and sitting still.

anyway i would advise yall to try and get your knife badges now because with the 1.2 patch comes out knife combat is going to be readically changed when jumping, diving, ect doesn't come into play. (wont phaze me much, but I know it will others.)

you can't do that but you can get ground deense ribbon as a commander. Use karkland for example. Be on USMC side and get commander. At the main US base. (wherenthe UAV, SAT, Tank,APC, ect spawn at) there is a M249 LMG near the uncapable flag. Jump onto it and then go to your commander screen. Drop an arti or too and once you have three kills don't l eave the lmg whenever you have been on the lmg for five minutes and gotten 3 kills with arti you will get the ribbon..

you can do the same to get the Air defense ribbon. though to get that way chose a map l ike kubra damn or shaqri penisula on a large 64 map and jump on a stinger/igla at one of the uncapable bases as commander and get the need kills with artilery. I got my air defense ribbon in mobile AA knocking out chopper but i just got my ground defnese one tonight as commander. didn't even meen to just heard the drums and looked i had gotten it. figured out real qucik how.
