yeah, im using a 27" ws monitor and have no problems really. just on start up of bf2, the screen needs to be adjusted everytime, by turning it on and off.

what im trying to say is that i have a 21" lcd ws and my highest resolution is 1680x1050. in bf2 options you can only go as high as 1024x768 or something like that.those resolutions arent made for a ws monitor.the bf2 settings kind of stretch the screen a bit.

Modify the properties of your start icon.  IIRC, for your monitor you need to add something like this:

+szx 1680 +szy 1050

Seach for Battlefield 2 Tweak Guide on Google for the site I originally got that info from.  I used it for 1280x1024 before the patch added built-in support for it, and for 1920x1080 on my TV.

BF2 does NOT support widescreen resolutions.
Again,
BF2 does NOT support widescreen resolutions.

Can you play on a widescreen - Yes
Can you use the "C:\Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1920 +szy 1200" trick - Yes
Is the resolution and FOV correct and true widescreen - NO

I have done a lot of research on this (this tread should be in the Tech section) and have tried every tweak, tip, trick etc - you can not get the resolution to work and the FOV to look correct.  BF2 will just cut part of the screen off (Top) or stretch the image to fill the screen - so it is NOT true widescreen viewing.
Please see here for all the answers before you flame me.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us here at Electronic Arts Technical Support.

The game does not indeed support widescreen option due to the fact that the game was not developed for it.

Though you can try to use the force resolution procedure we have.

Some people with LCD screens and digital monitor cables are having a problem where the game won't let them select 1280x1024 (often the native resolution for their monitor). You can force the resolution by editing the command line of the game's shortcut to:

C:\...\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +full screen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024
