weird new problem

I have a new problem...
we had the same shader/mod/lightning problem and reinstalling the 1.3 patch after download fixed it enough to where I can play in single player with bots and see the list of game servers which listed about 60-70 but when I click on any- It just blinks there is no attempt to join or anything saying its full ...I have filters set
my computer itself is not the problem..I play reg bf2 with no problem and join servers in there without a problem ..I am at wits end on this one..Anyone?

Down here, theres only a couple of testosterone fuelled maniacs coughing up hairballs at eachother and swearing at random bugs/fixes..

every time i try to install the special forces exp pack it says that the patching failes. When i start special forces it says, "mods/shaders/lightnig.fx not found." How do i fix this????? I have spent hours looking for a fix and can't find one. Can anybody help.

you may have not turned up any hits when you searched because you misspelled 'lighting.fx'. after i noticed it i fix the spelling and turned up some threads that might have the answer you're looking for. have a look at:

I had the same problem. I think its because it is different patches they run on but im not sure. I just uninstalled bf2 then installed both bf2 and sf and then installed the patch. Runs smoother than ever now. Try it, might work........worst that can happen is that u wasted some time.
