Question from a noob. Ive had BF2 a lil over a month, got the 1.12 patch and installed then bought BF2SF and reinstalled the patch. Still cant log into a server. This server allows only unmodified content. Revert your software to the most recent version. Thats the message I get when trying to join a multiplayer game after the map has loaded. Any suggestions? Thanks

I am having a simillar problem,except I can play for 10 minutes, and then It crashes and a noise that is simillar to
connection to the internet.
So far I have had reinstall: Win XP Pro Software(SW), Drivers, Dev SW, Graphic SW, anti-virus SW, BF2, then BF2:SF then Patch 1.12.
The only thing I haven't installed is probably the kitchen sink, if some1 has had this same problem, ----PLEASE POST IT HERE----

Try installing BF2, upgrade to 1.03, then install special forces, then install the 1.12 patch.
Don't think it should matter with the way you said you've done it but, those were the explicit instructions given by EA.

I had this problem when I first got BF2SF as well. So I just reinstalled the 1.12 patch again and everything was right as rain. Although I still randomly get a glitch where the server update won't update, and I have to exit out of the game and start it up again, but I don't think thats what you're talking about.
try to set the filters on "same version"

It's working perfctly now, cheer's to Ryan_Mercury. Although to find the 1.03 patch was a bit of a mission.
