They dont look that bad. I thought they would be glowing and in your face. anyway, after a couple of rounds i dont think youd even notice them.
MUST GET THIS GAME!
MUST GET THIS GAME!
I didn't even really notice the EU/PAC soldiers, so it won't bother me much
They aren't that bad. Definitely not as bad as they were in Rainbow Six Lockdown (I think that was the most recent one for PC). I couldn't go five seconds in that game without seeing a poster on the wall about the movie "The Hills Have Eyes". These don't stand out nearly as much.
LOL, I hope so too, this game kiks ass.Dex Luther wrote:

meant arent bad enough, my bad
Be sure to shoot at them, the next time you see them (maybe in a FAV or tank so you don't lower your precious accuracy stat.) They probably take statistics on how long you look at them and possibly how many times they are shot at.
I wonder if they reflect damage at all. Say a set of rockets into it.
I'm pretty sure everyone playing PC games knows about Core now...but when did that ever matter in advertising?...
Looks like EA's game background for 2142 includes the spontaneous death of the advertising industry in the early 21st century, leaving billboards as relics of the past - portals back in time if you will.
I think that looks pretty ridiculous, since the context of the game has absolutely no link with that of the ad.
I probably wouldn't feel as bad about this sort of thing in Battlefield 2 since it's set in modern day/near future - current ads would be more believable.

I haven't played Rainbow Six Lockdown, but to me these ads are out of place both in context and medium. Amount of exposure is irrelevant to that. Noticing the billboards in the demo alone made me wonder - they're placed around a military defended power plant...obviously the logical place to put billboards... Having played all the maps now I get the same feelings with the others as well.mcgid1 wrote:

LoL
I wish DICE had made the ads destructible. That way I can demo pack the ads away if I do not like them.
But of course if that is the case, no one would advertise their product on BF2142.

Not only would there be like Intel Core 20 processors in 2142, but I doubt getting the best processor possible for your PC would be on your mind when the majority of Earth is frozen over.
EA, keep the ads in games like NFS. Though I do admit they aren't as distracting as you'd think.

I would like the problem with connection thing to be fixed.
WRETCH. This may drive me back to BF2 after I was just starting to get into 2142.
I hope you are.Dex Luther wrote:
