Why should people who break the law also get protection under the law?

2 examples at each end of the spectrum

A cyclist who does not stop at red lights...why should they be protected by law from being hit by a car?

A murderer...why should they be protected from violence from other prisoners?

Cause two wrongs don't make a right? Plus if that was not the case what would seperate our society from that of criminals and the like?

The law only sees an act. It doesn't see people.

Individual A is stabbed by Individual B, Individual B is sent to prison.

Individual A could be Adolf Hitler and Individual B could be Mother Teresa, and the law would still have to prosecute her for the crime. If we didn't we would be setting prescidence for the future.

Ok Person A Is in person B's house robbing him at gun point. Person A shoots person B and wounds him. Person A goes to jail for Protecting his home with Socalled unreasonable force, While person B goes to jail and is sueing person B for pain and suffering and other things and will win.

In your post, Person A is under law suppose to abide by the SAME laws as person B. so if the court ruled that person B was at fault, then a misstrial is likely or an appeal is a good bet.

As for your second example, no worries, In prison, they have there own rules and government. The murderer has no protection once he goes through the door. So what happens inside happens. People with nothing to lose dont care. Believe me.
